How safe is this for a teacher to give a demo for elementary school children? the transformer output looks to be high in kvolts?
Hi Gary,
I’ve given high-voltage demos to kids in elementary school before. They love it, and a Jacob’s Ladder demo should be safe as long as you don’t let the kids
get too close or touch it. The output of this transformer is 15,000 volts, and is quite dangerous if touched while running. You can explain to them good safety
features, like never touch the machine while plugged in, etc. They also love Van de Graff and Tesla Coil demos.
