Vintage Telescope – Rachel

According to the plaque in this video, “Rachel,” dates back to at least 1915; and is one of the largest refractor type telescopes in the world. Chabot Science Center has several nice old telescopes (including Einstein’s personal telescope which I uploaded previously). Chabot has public viewing nightly through Rachel, and several other large telescopes -definitely a great place to go for observing the night sky. The science center is located in the hills above Oakland, California; USA.
